Kael has maintained a successful practice as a Natural Therapeutic Specialist and Ayurvedic practitioner, serving hundreds of clients over the past 20 years. She received her degree in pre-medical biology at New Mexico State University. She then attended the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, where she was introduced to Ayurveda. Pursuing this interest, she went on to study at the Ayurvedic Institute and India with renowned Vaidya, Dr. Vasant Lad.
She is the co-founder of Life In Balance Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Center and has taught Ayurvedic classes throughout studios and schools in Washington, including Bastyr University and Brenneke Massage School. She leads Women’s Retreats, offers Ayurvedic Consultations, group Cleanse Programs and facilitates Panchakarma Cleanse Retreats at her Center on Vashon Island.
Kael is a doula and mother and enjoys working with women in all stages of life. In Ayurveda, the word for health is Svastha, which essentially means to ‘return to one’s Self.’ Through her own personal journey, she has found this key to one’s deepest transformation. In her one-on- one coaching program, she guides women in the unfolding of their healing and moment to moment returning to themselves.
Her work focuses on the integral connection between the body, mind and emotions. She has found that using Ayurvedic practices and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, or Tapping) most effectively facilitates physical and emotional healing by getting at the deep emotional roots of the issue. She is committed to bringing her clients to the place of experiencing love and acceptance for themselves and living joyfully; awake and fulfilled in the difference they make in their families and the world.
Kael lives on Vashon Island with her husband, 2 children and Rozy, their dog child. Her other joys are walking on the beach and forest with Rozy, gathering in circles with woman, retreating to hot springs, Feldenkrais, singing, laughing and preparing and sharing delicious food with friends.
